Just a small update. We are looking for members interested in becoming contributors of the group.
If you're interested in the position, just write us a note.

:new: Just check the lines marked with :new: for the updates to the group guidelines.

I started this group from my general love of all things fantasy and wanting to promote other fantasy artists such as myself.
We don't care what media you work with, as long as at least part of your gallery consists of fantasy works.
Membership is open for anyone interested in fantasy art, whether it is for creating it or just sitting back and enjoying watching the art of fellow artists.
However, we are not a general submissions club. We look to promote the best that dA has to offer in terms of fantasy art and artists, so please only consider your best works when submitting.
Also to keep things clean and manageable we would appreciate it if you only submitted one deviation at a time. Once you've been notified of having your work accepted or declined you can send in another.

:new: To give you a better perspective on what art you should submit, the girls found a definition of FANTASY for you.
"Fantasy is a genre that uses magic and other supernatural forms as a primary element of plot, theme, and/or setting."
The usual fantasy art, depicting fantasy creatures, fairies, elves, magic/sorcery/witchcraft, etc. is accepted.
Mythology is accepted, as long as it depicts a traditionally fantasy scene, character (gods, heroes, etc.) or creature.
Fan-art is also accepted, as long as it depicts a fantasy character.

:bulletgreen: Digital Art Submissions</u> :bulletgreen:

Once your membership has been accepted and you'd like to submit a digital creation to the group, follow this link to The Digital Art Gallery and use the Submit to this Folder button.

The digital art category comprises all works that were created using digital medias: photomanipulations, paintings, drawings, vectors, etc.

:bulletgreen: Traditional Art Submissions</u> :bulletgreen:

Once membership has been accepted and you'd like to submit a traditional creation to the group, follow this link to The Traditional Art Gallery and use the Submit to this Folder button.

The traditional art category comprises all works that were created using traditional medias: artisan crafts, paintings, drawings, etc.

:bulletgreen: Resources Submissions</u> :bulletgreen:

Once membership has been accepted and you'd like to submit a resource to the group, follow this link to The Resources Gallery and use the Submit to this Folder button.

The resources art category comprises all works that were created for the purpose of being shared as resources for the community: stock images, tutorials, photoshop brushes, tubes, etc.

:bulletgreen: Photography Submissions</u> :bulletgreen:

Once membership has been accepted and you'd like to submit a photograph to the group, follow this link to The Photography Gallery and use the Submit to this Folder button.

The photography category is pretty self-explanatory.

:bulletgreen: 3D Art Submissions</u> :bulletgreen:

Once membership has been accepted and you'd like to submit a 3D artwork to the group, follow this link to The 3D Art Gallery and use the Submit to this Folder button.

The 3D art category consists of creations that were made in 3D rendering programs such as Poser, DazStudio, Blender, 3DSMax, Carrara, Bryce, Vue, etc.

:bulletgreen: Artisan Crafts Submissions</u> :bulletgreen:

Once membership has been accepted and you'd like to submit your artisan craft to the group, follow this link to The Artisan Crafts Gallery and use the Submit to this Folder button.

The Artisan Crafts category consists of creations that were handmade: jewelry, costumes, sculpture, etc.

Direct submissions will save us the trouble of having to move them to their respective categories.

</u> Other Guidelines</u>
:new: Your work must be submitted to the appropriate gallery, meaning fantasy sub-category of either traditional art, digital art, mixed media or photomanipulation.
:new: There's a new rule for the submission limit. You can submit now two deviations per week. This is authomatic and you won't be able to make more than two submissions. We may increase the limit of submission per week once we have more help from contributors.
:new: If your work has been rejected once, do not resubmit it. Try with a different submission instead.
We will always check for legitimate use of resources whenever the case (applies to photomanipulation, mixed media, etc.)
We reserve the right to decline every work that doesn't fit with this group's focus, fantasy art.
We have certain standards of quality in terms of execution and also originality. Submissions will be reviewed upon these guidelines.
If your work is declined you will be informed by one of the moderators/contributors why the panel has come to that conclusion. Don't take it personally, we are just being professional.

I guess that's that for now :) I hope this place grows to be a great place where fantasy artists can gather :peace:

I'm so glad to find such a group, which focuses on fantasy in all media! I think the fantasy genre is too often restricted to digital or traditional art. Thank you for having created it, and if you need any help running the group, don't hesitate to ask me : I would love to get involved! :woohoo:

but it's not restricted to just that :P that's why we put a stock category up, because there are many stockers who have inspired the traditional and digital artists alike to create fantasy works :aww:
And there is also 3D which is obvious, and photography. A little harder to find, but not impossible ;)

Hey, I think I fixed the submit to folder issue, I had to set the process for each subfolder instead of just the gallery. Apparently gallery=featured folder by default  You should try it now and let me know if it works for you :aww:

It should be at the top on the right. But I won't deny it could only be showing to me ^^; just submit to featured. I move submissions to their respective galleries whenever I get the time.
