Just check the lines marked with
for the updates to the group guidelines.I started this group from my general love of all things fantasy and wanting to promote other fantasy artists such as myself.
We don't care what media you work with, as long as at least part of your gallery consists of fantasy works.
Membership is open for anyone interested in fantasy art, whether it is for creating it or just sitting back and enjoying watching the art of fellow artists.
However, we are not a general submissions club. We look to promote the best that dA has to offer in terms of fantasy art and artists, so please only consider your best works when submitting.
Also to keep things clean and manageable we now accept two deviations per week. The number of submission per week might increase in the future. Group Founder, =FrozenStarRo
To give you a better perspective on what art you should submit, the girls found a definition of
FANTASY for you.
"Fantasy is a genre that uses magic and other supernatural forms as a primary element of plot, theme, and/or setting."
Submission Guidelines
Your work must be submitted to the appropriate gallery, meaning fantasy sub-category of either traditional art, digital art, mixed media or photomanipulation.
-There's a new rule for the submission limit. You can submit now
two deviations per week. The number of submissions per week might increase in the future, in which case we would let you know.
-If your work has been rejected once, do not resubmit it. Try with a different submission instead.
-We will always check for legitimate use of resources whenever the case (applies to photomanipulation, mixed media, etc.)
-We reserve the right to decline every work that doesn't fit with this group's focus, fantasy art.
-We have certain standards of quality in terms of execution and also originality. Submissions will be reviewed upon these guidelines.
If your work is declined you can be informed by one of the moderators/contributors why the panel has come to that conclusion. Don't take it personally, we are just being professional.
So, in short:
What we accept in this group-The usual fantasy art, depicting fantasy creatures, fairies, elves, vampires, magic/sorcery/witchcraft, etc. is accepted.
-Mythology is accepted, as long as it depicts a traditionally fantasy scene, character (gods, heroes, etc.) or creature.
-Horror-fantasy and Sci-fantasy.
-Fan-art is also accepted, as long as it depicts a fantasy character (make sure to provide a background story in the Artist's Comments if there are no clear fantasy elements depicted)
What we decline in this group- Pure Science-fictional works, Surreal and Conceptual.
- Everything that belongs to the Emotional or Dark category.
- Works that violate copyright, or do not give proper credit to stocks/references/brushes/textures that have been used (please state if you purchased stock or used your own).
- Re-submission of works we have already declined, unless some changes/improvements have been made to the work. Works that have been submited into the wrong Gallery Folder are also declined, but we do let you know so you have time to withdraw and re-submit in the correct place.
